#MissionMonday – Loaves & Fishes UPDATE

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

The summer is heating up, and plans for the annual Loaves and Fishes is underway! That means we need bag lunches and cookies to feed approximately 400 guests at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Trenton on Saturday, August 22.

Due to the pandemic, we will have a contact-less drop-off opportunity at the church on Friday, August 21, and the number of on-site volunteers will be greatly reduced. These protective measures are being taken to keep everyone safe, and we ask that you only make bag lunches and cookies if everyone in your household has been well for at least two weeks prior to drop-off.

Thanks to Scott Harmon and Allen Olsen for leading the effort to ensure Nassau’s loaves and fishes continue feed our neighbors in need! Watch the video for more details about how we are changing things up this year.

What’s in a Bag Lunch? How do I package cookies? Where and when is the drop off? Many of these questions will be answered on our downloadable Instructions for Donations 2020 (pdf), if you still have questions, please contact the church office. Or watch the videos below:
