Mid-Week Prayer / Devotional Bible Study
Wednesday, October 21, at 12:30 p.m.
We will welcome Dr. Brian Rainey, lecturer in Biblical Studies at Princeton Theological Seminary. Dr. Rainey will lead our Bible study group in an interactive discussion of “Hollywood & The Bible.” As preparation, please bring all of your questions about the depiction of biblical stories, characters and creatures in film. If interested, please submit your questions in advance by email.
Dr. Rainey earned his M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School and his Ph.D. from Brown University. He is interested in ethnicity in the Hebrew Bible and ancient Near East, including anthropological, sociological and cognitive theories of “ethnicity” and their usefulness for the study of ancient societies.
