As we enter the season of Advent, a time of anticipation and giving, let us honor the spirit of the holidays by shifting our hearts to those in need. This season presents a beautiful opportunity to share the joy of giving with your family and for us, as a congregation, to lend support where it is needed in our community. Let us use this time to reflect on the blessings we have and extend a helping hand to those less fortunate, embodying the spirit of compassion and generosity that Advent represents.
The Children and Family Ministries committee is seeking donations in preparation for our MLK Morning of Mission in January, when we will assemble care bags for those in need at HomeFront and Arm in Arm. Our Church School classrooms are collecting items according to classroom, and we encourage the congregation to contribute in any way you feel called! Examples of the requested items are linked below.
Please mark your calendars for the MLK Morning of Mission on Monday, January 20th! During this morning of service, we will engage in project work suitable for hands of all sizes. It is a joyous, multi-generational, and efficient 2-hours of hands-on mission work that casts a wide net of support in our community.
Thank you for helping us spread kindness and compassion in our community!
