All proceeds from this year long collection of sermons go to non-profit groups around the country working to support immigrants and undocumented individuals and families.

The International Mission Outreach Committee (IMOC) of Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church invites new members to work actively with us in realizing our outreach goals in other countries. The Ghana Mission Network is expanding into West Africa, including Liberia. Learn about the our African Diaspora Cookbook. It will contain recipes and remedies passed down from our ancestors across oceans and continents. The theme of our book is from Revelation 22:2 – The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nation. Sales will help fund a trip to Africa for our youth. RSVP to ">Joan Tomlin or Isa Blyden.

Their annual Communities of Light event in early December illumines our community as a powerful symbol of hope for those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Witherspoon Partnership – new group for 2021
Bending the Moral Arc:
Contemporary Conversations on Race & Justice with Friends from Witherspoon Street & Nassau
Join for courageous conversations co-led by Denyse Leslie & Karen Brown, respective elders of the Witherspoon Street & Nassau Churches. To ground the conversations, there will be homework before each gathering to read, listen to, or watch. Most of the homework will take less than an hour, and no more than 2 hours. The group will meet via zoom every other week, starting January 20 at 7PM, for 12 weeks (6 gatherings).
This group is open to 5 participants from Witherspoon & 5 from Nassau.
Advent Evening Prayer Services
Join in mid-week fellowship, share prayer concerns, join in song.
This season Nassau will gather each Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00pm for a brief service of evening prayer hosted and led by members of our church staff.
These services will be held on Zoom. A link will be sent out to the “News from Nassau (All-Church News)” email list. This is the list that receives our mid-week Nassau Generations email newsletter. If you would like to be added to this list, please visit the Newsletter page of this website.

In honor of Witherspoon’s 180th Anniversary, Church Life is planning a Year-Long Calendar of Events. On Saturday, December 5, at 3:30 p.m., WSPC will host a Zoom event to make Christmas ornaments. Monica Burch and Shirley Satterfield will teach us how to make two ornaments.

Service of Remembrance
Advent and Christmas can be challenging for those who are grieving and for whom the season is tender.
Join us on Zoom for a Service of Remembrance including scripture, song, and prayer on Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. We will gather to acknowledge our sadness, to seek God’s healing, and to offer one another the gift of fellowship. The Zoom link will be available in your Sunday morning email that day.
Please bring a candle and matches to the service.
