WANTED: Farmers Market Volunteers
Send Hunger Packing Princeton (SHUPP) is seeking volunteers to help with its Free Farmers Market at the Princeton YMCA on Fridays from 3-5pm during the growing season. SHUPP provides supplemental food to Princeton kids and their families, and the Free Farmers Market is one way they get fresh, healthy foods to those who need them.
Volunteers will pick up produce from Gravity Hill Farm near Titusville and deliver it to the market, about a 2 hour round trip. Volunteers should be able to lift up to 30 lbs, and 2 volunteers per trip are recommended but not required. Volunteers can set their own frequency, from every Friday to 1 Friday/month.
